Symposium Themes

Foundation of the Programme

The symposium will center around four main themes that form the foundation of the programme. Each theme addresses critical aspects of poultry nutrition, reflecting the latest scientific insights and practical innovations. These themes aim to foster discussions that bridge research and industry, paving the way for sustainable and effective poultry production.

Below, you will find the detailed focus of each theme. Every session will feature presentations, discussions, and insights that highlight cutting-edge advancements and practical applications in these key areas. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts, share knowledge, and explore solutions to the challenges shaping the future of poultry nutrition.

Theme 1 Environmental impact: challenges for poultry nutrition?

This session focuses on adopting a holistic approach to poultry nutrition and diet formulation. Key themes include promoting circularity and sustainability in feed practices, enhancing biodiversity through nutrition strategies, and addressing the broader challenges associated with maintaining a license to produce in an evolving regulatory and environmental landscape.

Theme 3 Requirements, responses and recommendations

This session centers on the application of guiding principles in diet formulation, emphasizing the use of modeling approaches, dose-response studies, and in vitro testing. It will also explore non-invasive techniques and the identification and utilization of bio-markers to enhance precision and effectiveness in poultry nutrition.

Theme 2 (Novel) ingredients and processing

This session is focused on the latest developments in novel (protein) feed resources, exploring the impact of dietary fiber and the physical structure of feed. It will also cover the use of specific raw materials and innovative co-products, as well as advancements in feed technology.

Theme 4 Customized feeding strategies

This session focuses on developing tailored feeding strategies designed to meet specific needs at various stages of poultry production. Topics include extended laying cycles, early feeding concepts, split feeding, choice feeding, and phase feeding, all aimed at optimizing performance and efficiency.
